Lacing Fragments

Learning to make use of fragmented time should be a class in school. As we grow older and responsibilities grow our time seems to decrease and shatters into a million small fragments. Being successful means finding a way to work with in these fragments, to lace them together, making a patchwork of moments strong together like beads. With time and considerable effort these fragments can turn into a larger picture. On a blog I read a comment from a mom that I found simple and brilliant, she said she never went into one room or left another with out transporting an item to its rightful place. Okay so it makes sense right? Never waste a trip. It makes so much sense but sometimes we don’t think of the things that make sense, I have been working on this tactic and have been finding it helpful. Following through on a given task is also important, when you go and get the mail rather then leave it for later, just sort, and put it away. What keeps coming to mind is Nike’s tagline “just do it.” Really that is what life is all about, just doing it. I am working away at responding to flagged e-mails, finding old to-do lists and trying to knock off one thing a day or one a week, just trying to make progress in a positive direction.

Class has started again, break always seems to fly by. My current class is on marketing, I am supposed to pick a product to focus the term on…any fabulous ideas?

Other updates:
My studio remodel will be done shortly and when it is I will post pictures of it (promise). I really need to just finish putting away things which is what takes so much time.

I had to resend a piece of artwork to the Art First show I was accepted to, because it broke, another $100 in shipping later it is on its way again. I pray it won’t break again.

    Hey,

I clean sorta like your mom. I enter or leave a room and l clean up 3 items each time. It makes it like a game and doesn’t make me so exhausted.

    See I’m here.
