Art First!, New Jersey

Princeton University Campus
I have so much to say to tell to share and yet I find myself reaching into darkness, not coming up with the right words to explain the shift that has taken place. I started getting sick the night of my Birthday and have been sick since more then two weeks, I had the flu, now bronchitis, but the time off from work has been really good. It allowed me time to examine my life and think a lot about what I want and how to go about that. It also provided me the space to breathe and I came back to work more rested and more energized.
Our visit to Princeton, NJ was wonderful. Seeing green fields, moss, luscious trees and red breasted robins were a real treat. The town to me was the perfect quintessential town, the one you dream of with little shops and wonderful architecture, good food and a fun energy to life there. The school is just beautiful, and we found the art museum on campus, which had an impressive collection of art, competing with the Getty, as well as other museums I have been to, like the LACM, Legion of Honor Museum, Portland Art Museum and Phoenix Art Museum. We had fun poking our nose into many neat shops, buying chocolates, leafing through old books, drooling over exquisite jewelry and buying little toys and the most wonderful toy shop I have ever found. We dined at nice restaurants, stayed up late, enjoyed wonderful Italian lattes, and strange frozen cakes. The art show, ArtFirst! was amazing, the talent incredible, the evening very fun and enjoyable. Our flight was safe, the real heavy rain held off until the last day. The trip was fun, it was our first trip away on our own for some time and it was really relaxing. I have uploaded a selection of photos from our trip to flickr so if you are interested you can check them out.
I have come out of the last three weeks with new clarity and direction, a few new connections, two pieces of art sold and sunshiny disposition. When I was young everyone would say how happy I was, how I lit up a room, then I become very dark and sad, I think I am ready to light up the room again (at least most of the time).
Sounds like you two should be moving East, girly! How I would love that!
Moving East? Yes, I hear NJ is wonderful in the summer (NOT: high humidity). And how about in the winter? Beautiful! (NOT: ice cold and always windy).
Better stay here with us!
I am not going any where, at least now now.
