		<description>Well, I think that is what &#039;crazy quilts&#039; were  - made from scraps of fabric after the clothing fell apart - and they were sewn together with different stitches. Each piece had a story. (That piece of calico was from my apron the year I canned fifty quarts of peaches and got stung by a bee.) Quilts were often passed down generations, and sometimes the stories were remembered. It is true, our lives are many, many patches of stories stitched together.</description>
